• Note*: When about 5 years old, George moved with his parents to Freeport, IL.,
  and after about two years they moved to Brookfield, IL. At age 16 moved
  with his parents to Polo, IL where he was converted at age 18 and joined
  the United Brethern Church. He also received his education in High
  School at Polo.
  
  In the fall of 1880 he moved with his wife and children to Adair County
  Iowa where he spent the rest of his life. He was one of the pioneers of
  Adair County.
  
  In about 1900 he transferred his church membership to the Friend Church
  at Canby, IA.
