• Note*: George was born in Virginia in 1751, served in the American Revolution, and died in 1807 in Jackson County, Georgia. George, along with his wife, Miriam, and daughter, moved from North Carolina to Georgia and on 12/7/1773, was granted land at the head of Beaver Dam. He and his wife subsequently appear in the records of Wilkes and Greene Counties. By 1799, George was living on Beech Creek in Jackson County in Aaron Wood's company, as was Etheldred Wood, who married George's daughter, Dicey, in Greene County 6/10/1790. George was listed on the 1805 Jackson lottery list along with John, Thomas, Abener (Abner ?) and Joseph (the only one enumerated, No. 995, in 1820).
